Lindsay Lohan is back, baby!
After a hiatus, the 35-year-old will be joining “Glee” star Chord Overstreet in a brand new Netflix rom-com set for release next year.
The official summary reads, “A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner (Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
While the flick remains untitled for now, production and filming recently began.
The movie also stars George Young, Jack Wagner and Olivia Perez.
Hallmark Channel’s “A Christmas Waltz” director Janeen Damian is at the helm and is also the screenwriter for the holiday film alongside writers Jeff Bonnett, Ron Oliver and Michael Damian.
News broke in May that the movie would be starring the “Parent Trap” actress when Netflix shared a photo of her via Twitter.
Netflix shared the first look pic Friday on social media. The snap featured Overstreet, 32, and Lohan looking happy and in love, as they rocked comfy winter gear in front of a backdrop of Christmas twinkling lights.
Lohan has taken a step back from the big screen in recent years. While she did star in “Among the Shadows” in 2019, her last buzzy role was in 2013’s “The Canyons” along porn star James Deen. She most recently appeared on her MTV reality show “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” in 2019 and as a judge on the Australian installment of “The Masked Singer.”
That same year, the “Mean Girls” star revealed to Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special that she desired to “come back to America and start filming again.” She also wanted to “take back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys.”
