NBA Hall of Famer Grant Hill is a “#ProudDad” after his 19-year-old daughter scored her first MMA victory.
Myla Hill won her debut amateur MMA fight against Jenna Loza in the first round at Rival Fight League: Halloween Havoc. in Lakeland, Fla.
“[Four] days later, and I’m still in awe of my daughter Myla’s performance in her first amateur MMA fight,” Hill tweeted over a video of his daughter in the ring. Orlando Magic guard Michael Carter-Williams captured the footage.
“She was focused, composed (which her mother and I were not before & during the fight), aggressive & clearly not afraid of the moment inside the octagon,” Hill wrote.
Myla greeted Loza with a series of punches, and managed to secure a rear-naked choke to force a tap-out in the first round.
Hill, a purple belt, currently trains at The 6 Levels — an MMA, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training facility, just outside Orlando.
The teen is also a full-time college student, according to the team’s Facebook page.
