An Amazon customer’s hilarious review for a pair of seemingly indestructible leggings depicted the wearer tumbling down a mountain without ripping them. The sterling endorsement was originally posted in July 2020, but was re-uploaded to Twitter Saturday, where it racked up nearly 400,000 likes as of Monday afternoon.
“I think about this twice per week,” wrote Twitter user @emmycantread of the unorthodox review, which was for a pair of “RAYPOSE Women’s Yoga Running Capris Leggings,” sold for $13.99 on the e-bazaar.
In the sparkling five-star review, captioned “order them right now,” user Cory H. wrote that she would be “reordering the pants in every color.”
She then shared two photos of herself rolling down the rock face while wearing a purple pair of the elastic pants, which are described as “NON SEE-THROUGH & 4-WAY STRETCH” on the site. The amateur alpinist was reportedly afraid to clamber down the steep mountains so she’d resorted to sliding down the rocks on her belly like a human luge sled, per the review.
Despite her potentially pants-tearing technique, the mountaineer’s leggings allegedly survived the descent unscathed.
“My leggings did not rip not even a little bit and I got stuck on rocks and trees,” the Amazon fashionista fawned of her tough tights.
The accidental Raypose model struck a chord on Amazon with 15,640 users deeming her review “helpful.”
Social media also sang her praises.
“I really hope the company gave her free leggings for life for that kind of solid endorsement,” tweeted one impressed fan. “How can you not be sold when you read that.”
“People who provide pictures on Amazon are the BACKBONE of society,” gushed another.
The ringing endorsement also spawned another sparkling photo review, entitled “mountain sliding legging lady was right,” which shows user Kimberly R. Kelly clinging to an embankment while wearing the same purple tights.
“These Raypose leggings off Amazon are exactly as good as the lady in the reviews says,” the freelance company spokesperson wrote under the tongue-in-cheek post. “Glad I bought five!”
Their sisterhood of the indestructible pants doesn’t hold a candle to this Instagram review by a Kat Von D Tattoo Liner trustee, who claimed the cosmetic was so good that she came away from a car accident with her brows completely intact. An accompanying photo shows the woman sporting immaculate eyeliner despite also being in a neck brace with multiple head bruises.
