Taylor Swift makes shocking reveal about new ‘Red’ album, Twitter erupts

Taylor Swift’s newest announcement will leave fans tickled pink.

The singer took to Twitter Thursday to announce her own rendition of her acclaimed album “Red” will be released a week early — and naturally, Swifties were sent into a frenzy.

Now, the re-release will be out Nov. 12, and the release will also include the four disk vinyl, according to Swift’s tweet.

“Got some news that I think you’re gonna like,” Swift, 31, wrote. “My version of Red will be out a week earlier than scheduled.”

“Do u sleep ever,” replied Matt Bernstein, an Internet micro influencer, on Twitter.

Her announcement even had companies’ Twitter accounts fangirling.

“This is not a drill,” tweeted the company account for the card game UNO.

Other fans, though, are suspicious that Swift’s premature release of “Red” coincides with Adele’s new album release, which is rumored to also be coming in November.

“Taylor Swift has rescheduled Red (Taylor’s Version), fueling the rumours that Adele will release her 4th studio album in November,” explained a fan on Twitter.

“Taylor Swift announced Adele’s comeback before Adele herself,” joked another.

But Swifties will take an early release of a long-awaited album from Swift any day. They’ve been anxiously anticipating Swift’s version of her albums, beginning with a version of “Fearless” released earlier this year.

When she announced the release of “Red” last month, she was originally set to release it Nov. 19, Swift said it will include all 30 songs that were meant to be on the album, even the ones that didn’t make the cut the first time.

“In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness,” she wrote on Instagram earlier this year. “Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past. And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of Red.”

Featured on the album are indie rocker Pheobe Bridgers and country singer Chris Stapleton, accompanied by long-time friend of Swift, Ed Sheeran.

One song on the album is even 10 minutes long, she said on Instagram, potentially alluding to her version of “All Too Well,” complete with profanity her fans aren’t used to hearing from the lyrically clean country-pop singer.

“Can’t wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak album,” Swift said.
