Murdered NYC pregnant woman was targeted by ex after he failed to gun down her new beau: cops

The pregnant Harlem woman shot dead following her baby shower was targeted by her ex-boyfriend after he failed to gun down her new beau, police sources told The Post on Monday.

Shanice Young’s former flame had futilely chased her current boyfriend through a building at West 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Manhattan around 1 a.m. Sunday — before turning his murderous sights on the 31-year-old woman, who was eight months pregnant, and fatally shooting her in the head, cops said.

Cops believe that the suspect “targeted her after [her boyfriend] got away” — as opposed to shooting her while aiming for her beau — based on interviews with witnesses, family members and video, a police source said.

Young had been returning home from her baby’s shower and unloading presents from her car when her ex and current boyfriend started fighting and she tried to stop them, according to police.

The gunman remains in the wind.
