Accuser trying to shake down Trevor Bauer for millions, lawyer claims

The lawyers for Trevor Bauer suggested Wednesday that the woman accusing him of sexual assault has been trying to shake him down.

According to text messages from the accuser to her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, the accuser apparently was referring to the Dodgers pitcher when she wrote, “Give me 50 million and just slap my c–t,” according to the Daily Mail. In another text, the accuser wrote, “Hey b—h, pretty soon it’ll be rich b—h.”

In a response, the accuser’s sponsor told her to “secure the bag.”

During the hearing, Bauer’s attorney Shawn Holley asked the accuser to clarify the meaning of those texts. The accuser said she was just “joking around” when talking about being rich. When asked if “secure the bag” meant to get money, she said, “it can mean that… I’m not sure,” according to the Daily Mail.

Holley also asked the accuser about sexually explicit texts she shared with Bauer after the sexual encounters, in which she apparently told him to “choke me out,” “give me all the pain” and “do it harder.”

The attorney pointed out that the accuser left the texts out of her declaration to the court.

When asked about the texts, the accuser said, “I did not ask to be punched.”

The accuser has filed for a restraining order against Bauer and the hearing is to extend the order for five years. The alleged assaults took place in April and May, and Bauer has maintained that everything that happened between he and the accuser were consensual.

The 30-year-old Bauer, who originally planned on pleading the fifth during the hearings, will now not testify in the hearing, according to ESPN. He has been away from the Dodgers as the legal situation plays out.

He is in the first year of a three-year, $102 million contract with Los Angeles.
