Woman hospitalized after being punched in the face in NYC park: cops

A woman was hospitalized after she was punched in the face while trying to break up a fight between two kids in a Queens park on Friday night.

The scuffle happened just before 10 p.m. at the track in Astoria Park, according to the NYPD.

The 40-year-old woman was left with swelling and pain in her face, while the young perpetrator fled the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to NY Presbyterian Hospital, according to cops.

It’s unclear what started the fight.

Footage of the aftermath showed paramedics treating the unidentified woman in the middle of the track’s lanes. She was flanked by young children, including a girl who rubbed her head, as joggers ran by.

The pink floral dress-wearing woman was taken off the track on a stretcher, video showed.
