UK woman says NHS won’t approve surgery to reduce 32JJ breasts

A 20-year-old British woman who’s faced a range of physical problems stemming from her size 32JJ breasts said the country’s health service has denied her a breast reduction operation.

Esme Clemson, 20, of Wolverhampton in the UK, has had to deal with back pain, sluggishness and being bullied as a result of her breasts, which are about eight sizes bigger than average for her age, the Sun reported Saturday.

Clemson said she was called “big boobs” in school and is still bullied on the street — being on the receiving end of catcalls and comments about her body.

“People would always oversexualize it. I would always be called big boobs and things like that. It does scar you a little bit.”

She’s asked the NHS for a reduction since 2018 but has been turned down repeatedly because of her weight and age, she said. She lost weight but was told her BMI was still too high, the Sun said.

Clemson is now asking strangers for donations for a private breast reduction operation.

“It’s not a blessing. My boobs are not perky, they sag, they droop, they have stretch marks all around them, they are not attractive or nice to look at.”
