Arrest made in fatal East Williamsburg shooting, police say

Cops have collared a 29-year-old man they say pulled the trigger in a fatal East Williamsburg shooting last month, police said Thursday.

Ramel Chapman allegedly shot Sean Robinson in the back after trying to stick up the 33-year-old while sitting in a Ford Mustang with his friend at Morgan Avenue near Stagg Street at about 12:40 a.m. June 14, cops said.

Robinson had refused to hand over his property, cops said.

Chapman also allegedly pistol-whipped the 38-year-old driver and grabbed a gold chain off the driver and Robinson, according to police.

Robinson was rushed to Woodhull Medical Center, but he could not be saved.

Chapman was arrested Thursday and charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.
