Kenny Golladay provides tantalizing Giants glimpse

Observations from Giants training camp on Wednesday.

A tall task

Newcomer Kenny Golladay on Day 1 hauled in passes that might have been out of reach for others, making it readily apparent he will add a new dimension to the offense. Golladay and Daniel Jones stayed after practice for some extra work together.

Hurt locker

Tight end Kyle Rudolph is on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing foot surgery after signing in mid-March. Rudolph, 31, watched practice from the side and came off the field looking as if he still had a significant limp while he walked.

Caught my eye

There was a tall, slender guy wearing a golf shirt and khaki shorts watching practice under the sparsely populated VIP tent. Looked like Eli Manning. It was Eli Manning, settling in with his new job with the organization, schmoozing with guests.

Medical Report

Running back Sandro Platzgummer was on the field for the first practice. Platzgummer passed his physical earlier in the day and was removed from the reserve/non-football injury list.
