Elderly woman robbed of necklace at gunpoint in Brooklyn: cops

A pair of creeps robbed an NYPD cop’s 88-year-old grandmother at gunpoint in Brooklyn Tuesday — threatening to kill her before fleeing with her necklace in the broad daylight attack, police sources said.

The octogenarian was walking home from the dentist just before 3 p.m. in Bensonhurst and was waiting to cross the street at 84th Street and 17th Avenue when a woman in a blue sedan jumped out, demanding her necklace, cops and relatives said.

When she refused, the male driver got out, flashed a firearm and threatened to kill her if she didn’t give up her jewels, police said.

The senior handed over her necklace, and the couple took off southbound on 17th Avenue, according to police.

The victim was uninjured but “traumatized,” her daughter told The Post. Police sources said her granddaughter is an NYPD police officer.

“Over 25 years, nothing like this has ever happened,” she said. “The block she was on is very safe.”

The necklace — a Gucci chain — was “a gift from her grandkids from 10 years ago,” the daughter said.

“It can be replaced,” she said, but added, “I hope they find the chain.”
