Car plows into pedestrians on popular strip of cafes in Spain

A car plowed into a packed sidewalk lined with popular outdoor cafes and restaurants in southern Spain on Monday, injuring at least a dozen people.

Shocking footage shows chairs and tables strewn about and several people injured, including at least two bloodied women, video posted on Twitter by disclosetv shows.

“The car was zigzagging and sweeping away everything,” Raul Morote, whose family owns several restaurants along the popular thoroughfare, told the Associated Press.

Images from the scene show police and emergency crews — and even waiters — helping the injured who remained on the ground.

The carnage runs for almost an entire block in the resort city of Marbella, with the white SUV behind the incident seen at the end of the street after crashing under a canopy at an outdoor dining area, the clip shows.
