Firefighter responding to car wreck reportedly found daughter, 21, dead

A firefighter in the UK was reportedly left devastated when he arrived at the scene of a horrific car accident — where he discovered his 21-year-old daughter dead in the wreckage.

Adrian Smith was on duty in Haverfordwest in the Welsh county of Pembrokeshire on Sunday evening when he responded to the three-vehicle crash, the Telegraph reported.

Upon arrival, he saw the mangled remains of his daughter Ella’s white Ford Ka, which her boyfriend had been driving as she sat in the passenger seat, according to the news outlet.

Smith watched in anguish as Ella’s body was extricated from the wreck. Her boyfriend suffered serious injuries, along with a man and a woman in another car.

“It must have been a complete nightmare for Adrian to find his own daughter was the victim,” a family friend told the Telegraph. “Ella was a lovely girl, they are a lovely family. Everyone is shock and totally devastated.”

Ella had been enjoying the day at the beach at Broad Haven before she and her boyfriend drove home in her car, which is believed to have overturned on a curve and been struck by another vehicle.

Smith, Ella’s mom, Maria, and her brother and sister were reportedly being supported by specialist police officers after the tragedy.

The tragic woman’s dad posted an image on social media of him and Ella, a bakery worker and trainee nurse, dancing at a family party when she was little.
