If there was such a thing as Comeback Analyst of the Year, Charles Woodson has put himself in position to win it.
After being dumped by ESPN after just three years, Woodson, the just-elected Hall of Famer, has resurrected his broadcast career with Fox.
As a reward, Woodson will become a full-time member of “Fox NFL Kickoff,” The Post has learned. He will continue to also make cameos on Fox’s college football pregame show, “Big Noon Kickoff,” on Saturdays.
On “Fox NFL Kickoff” on Sundays, Woodson is not replacing anyone as Charissa Thompson, Michael Vick, Dave Wannstedt, Tony Gonzalez and Colin Cowherd are all expected to be back. However, the format of the program may undergo some tinkering as it uses Woodson full-time.
Two years ago, Woodson was let go by ESPN after his first contract. Now, he has a regular gig at Fox.
Gonzalez already appears on the big show, “Fox NFL Sunday,” making him a potential mainstay when Jimmy Johnson and/or Terry Bradshaw leave the program. Now, Woodson is also in position to be considered for such a spot one day.
