Charles Barkley has a new nickname for Anthony Davis, and it has nothing to do with his now shaved-off unibrow.
The TNT analyst has begun calling him “Street Clothes,” a reference to the All-Star forward’s penchant for sitting out games due to injury.
Barkley unveiled it the other day during “Inside the NBA.” Davis suffered a groin injury in the second quarter of Game 4 and missed Game 5. The Lakers lost both of those games, to fall behind the Suns, 3-2, in the opening-round series.
“The Lakers can’t win this series without ‘Street Clothes’,” Barkley said. “I call him Anthony ‘Street Clothes’ Davis because he’s always in street clothes.”

Staying on the court has always been a challenge for the mega-talented Davis. He appeared in just 36 games this year and has never played more than 75 in a single season. He was able to stay healthy in last year’s postseason, and helped the Lakers win it all.
Now they need the eight-time All-Star to get back on the court if they hope to avoid a first-round exit.
