White Sox vs. Cardinals prediction: Chicago the pick

It was close. There were 43 shootings in New York City last week, 38 subway attacks and 72 people watched the season finale of “SNL.”

No Curt Schilling-stained bloody socks in the laundry, but make no mistake, the White Sox were bloodied in The Bronx last weekend. They were swept by the Bombers, but Chicago’s Carlos Rodon was lights out. Rodon (5-1, 1.27 ERA) fanned 13 Yankees in six shutout innings but was given zero run support in the loss. Cardinals fly to the south side of Chicago.

John Gant (3-3, ERA 2.04) has stabilized St Louis’ rotation, allowing a mere three runs in his past 15 frames but was forced to leave his latest start after a comeback liner got him below the glove.

Another test for the Chisox taking on the division leader in the other Central division. Believe they’ll pass. 20 units on Rodon and the White Sox.

Oh Solo Mio! The Reds hit two solo homers off Max Scherzer, the Nats hit one in the ninth inning and we’re left singing the blues after another 2-1 loss. Down -1,599 heiniemanushs.
