One Patriots receiver already likes what he sees from Mac Jones.
The former Alabama quarterback received early praise from Jakobi Meyers after a few days of organized team activities.
“We haven’t been in a game yet, but from the couple of days we have had together, he’s been definitely easy to work with,” Meyers told reporters, per the Providence Journal. “He probably won’t run past everybody, so throwing a catchable ball is definitely something that’s got him to where he is and he’s blessed to have the arm talent he has. It’s definitely nice working with him.”
It will be interesting to follow the Patriots’ quarterback situation. They have four of them now, with Jones, Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham and the recently signed Brian Hoyer.
The latter three have all had time in the Patriots’ offensive system. It is all new for Jones.
