Brian Rose, American running for mayor of London, drinks urine on camera

An American running for mayor of London recently scandalized the British public after recording a video of himself drinking his own urine.

“The whole team here thinks I’m crazy and thinks it’s kind of gross,” Brian Rose said at the offices of his popular “London Real” podcast, before adding that he was drinking his urine because “It’s medicinal.”

“It’s a little salty,” Rose said on camera after the gag-inducing stunt, first reported by The Sun.

It’s not the first time for Rose, who posted a 2018 video of himself drinking bodily fluids for his more than 2 million YouTube followers.

Rose, 49, a former New York City banker originally from San Diego, moved to London in 2002 and became a citizen five years later. He maintains his American accent, and an affinity for flashy pinstripe suits with fat red ties sporting a bloated Double Windsor.

The self-described former alcoholic and drug addict has little chance to win the May 7 election. A Friday poll from YouGov found only 3% of Londoners had a good idea of who Rose was or the issues he stands for. Incumbent Labour mayor Sadiq Khan is expected to win reelection, observers say.

“[Rose] is a caricature,” Craig Dillon, a former advisor to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and founder of the consulting firm Westminster Digital told The Post. “When America sends its people, they’re not sending their best.”
