Gary Sanchez woes nearing nightmarish Yankees level

Gary Sanchez had another hitless day during the Yankees loss Sunday and has gone 11 games without an extra-base hit. The catcher has just three extra-base hits all year.
“The power is clearly in there,’’ Boone said before the game. “I feel like he’s done a better job this year with his swing decisions. He’s walked a little bit, with less chasing.”

Sanchez did walk again on Sunday, but his average dropped to .196 and his OPS is .661 — dipping closer to the nightmarish numbers he put up a year ago.
