Mets vs. Phillies prediction: Jacob deGrom will start Cy Young bid off right

Some things never change. Like Stitches’ proficiency at picking MLB winners.

Some things did change. In case you missed it: Nolan Arenado is a Cardinal. Trevor Bauer is a Dodger. Joc Pederson is a Cub. Steven Matz is a Blue Jay and so is George Springer. Corey Kluber is a Yankee. Brett Gardner is still a Yankee. Andrew Benintendi is a Royal. Francisco Lindor is a Met, so Amed Rosario is an Indian or whatever they call themselves in Cleveland. Former Cubs Jon Lester and Kyle Schwarber are Nats. Charlie Morton is a Brave. Blake Snell is a Padre as is “Pick me Stitches and I’ll burn Yu” Darvish. And Bartolo Colon will pitch for Acereros de Monclova in the Mexican League.

At first look, we decided not to take the idling Amazin’s off the layoff. Jacob deGrom made us look again. The deGrominator, seeking a third Cy Young, begins his campaign against Philly, who are 3-0 after sweeping Atlanta. Matt Moore back-ends their rotation and the Mets should take advantage. Play 20 units on the Mets.

Fly The W! Cubs escaped and slipped past the Pirates 4-3. Ian Happ’s homer one of only three hits for Chicago. We escaped as well. Down -232 sandbergs.
