Man charged for slashing woman’s face in the Bronx

A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault Sunday for randomly slashing a 60-year-old woman across her eyes in The Bronx, cops said.

Tylor Maria of Florida was nabbed at the corner of Claflin Avenue and Reservoir Avenue near Jerome Park Reservoir around 3 p.m., according to police.

The victim was walking along East Tremont Avenue near Samuel Young Park around 4:30 p.m. Thursday when the stranger approached her from behind, tapped her on the shoulder and then sliced her across her forehead and eyes when she turned, police said.

The attacker never said a word, cops said.

Emergency medical services transported the woman to Jacobi Medical Center, where she needed 18 stitches to close the wound, cops said.
