Rockies’ Nolan Arenado is getting traded to the Cardinals

Nolan Arenado appears to be headed to the Cardinals.

A trade is in place that would send the Rockies star third baseman to St. Louis, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed Friday night.

The deal has not been finalized because significant dollars would be on the move, complicating matters. Arenado also has a no-trade clause and an opt-out after the season, so approval from MLB and the union is still needed, according to Sherman. The Cardinals prospects expected to be included in the deal are Luken Baker, Austin Gomber and Jhon Torres.

The 29-year-old Arenado is scheduled to make $35 million this season. He signed an eight-year, $260 million contract with the Rockies in 2019. The eight-time Gold Glove winner hit .253 with eight homers in the abbreviated 2020 season, in which he dealt with a left-shoulder bone bruise
