NJ teen accused of killing neighbor for TikTok fame arrested again in Florida

A New Jersey teen accused of fatally stabbing a neighbor to gain TikTok fame was arrested in Florida last weekend for allegedly threatening a motorist, a report said.

Zachary Latham, 18, who has been in the Sunshine State awaiting trial for the killing of 51-year-old William “Timmy” Durham Sr., was busted Saturday for allegedly flashing a BB airsoft gun during a confrontation with a driver near the Meridian Center Parkway, the Fort Myers News-Press reported.

Latham was charged with two counts of felony assault, the report said.

The teen, a private in the New Jersey National Guard, is charged with aggravated manslaughter and assault for the fatal May 2020 encounter with Durham Sr. — a corrections officer at South Woods State Prison.

The Durhams’ attorneys claim Latham deliberately instigated the fatal fight to film it for social media infamy — following a series of earlier video confrontations, including one that got more than 3 million views, NJ.com has reported.

But Latham has claimed self-defense, insisting he only grabbed a 4-inch-blade knife as well as a Taser to protect himself from a mob attack in his home in Vineland, the report said.
