Inside Marc Anthony’s $27M Miami mansion

In this South Florida home, you’ll have plenty of room to dance along to Marc Anthony’s salsa hits. A full 20,546 square feet, in fact — but it won’t cost you a song.

The 52-year-old Anthony, a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, is looking to sell this sprawling Coral Gables compound for $27 million, $8 million more than the $19 million he shelled out for it in 2018.

That summer, Anthony, whose real name is Marco Muñiz, purchased the waterfront spread from Bacardi heiress Hilda Maria Bacardi, according to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com. Bacardi spent eight years overseeing its construction, according to the Real Deal, and listed the home before it was completed. In 2014, she asked $18 million. In 2016, when construction wrapped up, the price climbed to $27 million — allowing savvy Anthony to negotiate quite the discount.

The bones of the Rafael Portuondo-designed home include 12 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and two powder rooms. Listing images show arched windows and doorways, fireplaces, a roomy wood-paneled chef’s kitchen and outdoor entertaining areas, such as a pool and a spa. There’s an outdoor kitchen next to that watery retreat, as well as another kitchen inside the home. Other perks include a wine cellar, and a 1.3-acre lot with a 100-foot dock and direct access to Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
