This is very dangerous. Waves crashing onto bike path can push you into the lake. Thankfully this person okay. #lakemichigan #chicago #waves pic.twitter.com/7N1bGyEXyG

Cowa-bungle!
A Chicago cyclist briefly turned surfer Monday after being hit by a wild wave on the city’s lakefront bike path.
Video captured by ABC7 Chicago Monday morning showed the gnarly waves battering the shoreline of the city’s Lakefront Trail, which runs between Lake Michigan and busy Lake Shore Drive.
In the clip, the two-wheeler rides as close to the highway wall as possible, but is unable to escape the water. Instead, the deluge bounces off the barriers and briefly subsumes the man and his bike.
The very un-stoked cyclist struggles to maintain his balance. He falls off the bike, which drifts towards the water for a minute before its rider recovers it and pedals away.
The man was not injured, ABC7 reported.
A flood advisory was in effect for the area through Tuesday at 6 a.m., the station said.
