The Ravens-Steelers game went from a prime-time Thanksgiving kickoff to being scheduled for 3:40 p.m. on a Wednesday.
The NFL has never played a game at this time, but the league was forced to postpone the Week 12 matchup on three different occasions due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Baltimore organization.
The game won’t be broadcast at night, as originally planned, because NBC is already slated to air the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony around the same time, The Post’s Andrew Marchand confirmed.
NFL games on Sundays begin at 1 p.m., 4:25 p.m. or 8:20 p.m., while weekday games are always broadcast at night.
The game was originally moved from Thanksgiving to Sunday, Tuesday and then Wednesday, in order to give more players time to practice and avoid potential injuries, according to NFL Network.
Baltimore players reportedly threatened a wildcat strike if the game was not pushed back from Tuesday to Wednesday, Pro Football Talk reported.
Twenty-two Ravens players have tested positive or were identified as a high-risk close contact over the last nine days.
