Giants, Jets fans: Check out these top draft prospects’ games

While the Giants will chase a second straight win, the Jets are off this weekend, making room for more time to watch college football and dream about the players that could one day make an impact at MetLife Stadium.

A handful of Saturday’s games have been postponed by COVID-19 outbreaks — including more than half of the SEC slate — but there are still a number of games on the docket that feature players that could be of interest to the Jets or Giants next April.

There’s one more week to get through without Trevor Lawrence on your television screens, with Clemson on a bye, but until he returns next week, here’s a look at which players and games to keep an eye on:

Oregon St. at Washington: 11 p.m., FS1

Washington had its season-opener delayed by a week but now they will get to show off what is expected to be a stout secondary, with cornerbacks Elijah Molden (an All-Pac-12 nickelback) and Keith Taylor (a 6-foot-3 threat) leading the way. The Huskies also have left tackle Jaxson Kirkland and tight end Cade Otton among their top draft-eligible prospects.

Oregon State’s most attractive player to Jets and Giants fans may be pass rusher Hamilcar Rashed Jr., who racked up 14 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss last week.

Louisville at Virginia: 3:30 p.m., ACC Network

Though Louisville is in the midst of a down year after being ranked earlier in the season, wide receiver Tutu Atwell remains a major threat. He’s only 5-foot-9 but his speed plays if he gets into space.

For Virginia, it’ll be hard to miss outside linebacker Charles Snowden, who measures in at 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds and has 8.5 tackles for loss in six games.

TCU at West Virginia: Noon, FOX

Both the Jets and Giants addressed their safety position in the draft last year, but if they go back to that well this year, TCU has one of the best in Trevon Moehrig. He’s joined by Ar’Darius Washington for a strong safety tandem. Garret Wallow is also a standout inside linebacker.

West Virginia’s top draft prospect may be defensive tackle Darius Stills, but linebacker Tony Fields II is another to watch.
