Tiki Barber shreds Cowboys for doing nothing after headshot on Andy Dalton

Tiki Barber is calling the Cowboys out, ripping them for not coming to the aid of quarterback Andy Dalton after Washington linebacker Jon Bostic’s cheap shot on the veteran in Sunday’s rout of Dallas.

Bostic was ejected for leading with his helmet and hitting Dalton in the head. Dalton was knocked out and needed help to make it to the locker room. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy was surprised by the lack of response from his players.

“They did nothing, which tells you there is no fight in this Dallas Cowboys team. At all,” the former Giant said during Monday’s  the “Tiki and Tierney” show. “No fight. There’s no Care, there’s no want-to, there’s no nothing. They don’t give two ‘you-know-whats’ about their teammates and it shows when something like that happens.”

He has a valid point. The Cowboys have been a mess this year, 2-5 and showing no signs of reaching their preseason expectations.Losing starting quarterback Dak Prescott for the season has been a crusher, but Dallas looks headed to a high draft pick instead of the playoffs, and their response to their quarterback getting knocked out of the game spoke volumes.

“This is spiraling. What’s happening in Dallas is just spiraling,” Barber said. “It started with ineptitude defensively at the beginning of the season, and maybe it was an anomaly — ‘it’s a new coaching staff, we’ll figure it out.’ Then it continued and it kept going and then Dak gets hurt, and then Zeke (Ezekiel Elliott) can’t hold onto the damn football, and you get your quarterback knocked out by an opposing team’s player and you do nothing about it? America’s team, that’s all I gotta say.”
