24-year-old man dies after crashing BMW into tree in Brooklyn

A 24-year-old Brooklyn driver died in a mangled wreck early Wednesday after he crashed while speeding with a friend a few blocks from home, according to cops.

Nuvakh Ilishayev was driving an unidentified 21-year-old man “at an apparent high rate of speed” along Ocean Parkway in Kensington when he lost control and crashed into a tree, the NYPD said.

The 2019 BMW M5 he was driving was mangled in the wreck just after midnight, photos from the crash site show.

Both men were taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where Ilishayev was pronounced dead. His passenger was in stable condition, police said, without detailing his injuries.

Ilishayev lived in an apartment building on Ocean Parkway just a few blocks from the crash scene, police said. The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating.
