An e-hail driver was shot in Brooklyn Friday night during an altercation with a gunman on a bicycle, police said.

The driver, 30, was stopped and sitting in his car along Mermaid Avenue, between 23rd and 24th streets when the shooter on a bicycle rolled up to the vehicle, police said.

The two exchanged words, and the cyclist then pulled a gun and opened fire on the driver, striking him in the torso, according to police.

The victim, who was driving a grey Honda Accord with Taxi & Limousine Commission plates, then drove off to flag down police officers nearby.

He was transported to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.

It’s not clear what prompted the altercation.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
