President Trump on Saturday mocked what he described as the media’s kid-glove treatment of presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
“Very strange. Sleepy Joe never takes questions,” Trump tweeted over a video clip showing Biden campaign aides shooing reporters away from him and his new running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California).
The brush-off happened Friday, after a tightly controlled two-minute media availability in Delaware, where the White House wannabe signed forms that made his and Harris’ candidacies official.
In three joint appearances this week, reporters were given no opportunities to quiz the two Democrats.
Harris answered a single shouted question on Friday before staffers hustled journalists away.
“His reporters have zero drive,” Trump wrote. “Why can’t my reporters behave like that?”
