NYC couple busted for trying to sell elephant feet stools

It’s enough to make you ‘ele-faint.’

A Queens couple was caught trying to sell two stools made out of elephant feet, a class E felony under state law, officials said Wednesday.

The mammoth bust went down May 25, when officers with the state Dept. of Environmental Conservation spotted the seats listed for sale online with an $1,800 price tag.

Investigators said the couple was trying to hawk the apparent family heirlooms for some extra cash.

They were handed a $500 fine, but officers suspended the penalty after the stools were handed over.

The items will now be used for educational purposes, the DEC said.
