Good Samaritan’s death ruled homicide after he fell onto subway tracks

The death of a good Samaritan who was crushed by a Harlem train as he tried to break up a fight last week has been ruled a homicide, the NYPD said Wednesday morning.

Dwayne Brown, 57, was attacked by an unidentified man around 3:30 p.m. Friday as he intervened in a brawl at the southbound 2/3 subway stop at West 125th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, police sources said at the time.

As he was being punched, Brown fell between an incoming train and the southbound platform, according to the sources.
