Happy Saturday 🇺🇸

Gov. Andrew Cuomo washes and waxes nostalgic for American freedom.

The muscle-car obsessed governor celebrated Independence Day by cleaning off his midnight blue Pontiac GTO in a pair of cargo pants and a T-shirt.

“Happy Saturday,” Cuomo captioned the image with an American flag emoji.

As he wiped down the convertible, his followers took a shine to him.

“Wish you were my president,” one fan wrote.

Others noticed he didn’t mention the holiday by name.

“Just another Saturday indeed,” another wrote.

Cuomo, known to prefer driving to riding with the MTA he oversees, followed up with another post of himself waving from a car while donning in a face mask.

“This July 4th remember — real patriots wear masks,” he said.

The governor garnered a bizarre following of “Cuomosexuals” while hosting his daily coronavirus briefings, but has also come under fire from watchdogs wary of his expanded emergency powers and has faced ongoing criticism for his March 25 directive requiring nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients from hospitals.
