Gary Sanchez, Aroldis Chapman appear at Yankees spring training

Aroldis Chapman and Gary Sanchez took part in Sunday’s workout at Yankee Stadium after missing Saturday’s first day of spring training 2.0 while they waited for their COVID-19 intake test results.

Chapman threw a bullpen session and Aaron Boone said he was “on schedule” with the rest of the pitchers.

“I’m sure for those who follow on Instagram and watched his bullpens in quarantine, he’s always in such great shape,’’ Boone said of the closer.

Sanchez, Boone said, was able to get work in both hitting and catching while in the Dominican Republic.

“They’re both in a good spot entering camp,’’ Boone said.

The Yankees are without DJ LeMahieu and Luis Cessa, who both tested positive for COVID-19 and are self-isolating outside New York.

LeMahieu has been asymptomatic, while Cessa has experienced “very mild symptoms.”

Boone said Saturday he was “hopeful” the two would only be out a short time.
