Former UFC star Miesha Tate gives birth in the bathroom

Miesha Tate is celebrating the “unexpected” arrival of her second child.

On Sunday, the former UFC fighter announced the birth of son Daxton, revealing partner Johnny Nuñez had delivered their bundle of joy in the bathroom.

“Today I became a Mother all over again! The experience was incredible, we planned a hospital birth but our son had other plans!” Tate captioned the family bathroom photo on Instagram.

“Daxton Wylder Nuñez was born at 8:20am June 14th in our home. We welcomed our son as a family….. it was perfectly imperfect and I am over the moon!” the 33-year-old continued.

Tate, who retired from fighting in 2016, also thanked Nuñez, a fellow fighter, for keeping her “centered” while helping to deliver their son.

“I couldn’t have done it without you truly. Thank you for being my rock,” Tate continued, adding the hashtag, “unexpected home birth.”

Proud dad Nuñez, who shares 2-year-old daughter Amaia Nevaeh with Tate, also detailed his son’s arrival on social media.

“When times couldn’t have been any crazier! Then this happens. I delivered my son into this world on Sunday June 14th at 8:20 am,” Nuñez shared on Instagram.

“Such a strong little man wanted to come into this world so quick he decided to come in our very own bathroom,” he added. “What an experience to deliver your own child. It’s a bond we both will have for the rest of our lives.”
