Looters hightail it out of busted-up Manhattan Sephora after seeing cops inside

Three kids were spotted hightailing it out of a Sephora during a second night of looting in Manhattan Monday — after apparently not realizing plainclothed cops were inside the store.

The trio of suspected looters stepped into the busted-up cosmetics shop on 5th Avenue and 19th Street around 9:30 p.m., just seconds after about six officers had entered to check the scene out.

Video shows one of the young men sneaking away after catching sight of the cops — while another zooms out of the shop and faceplants on the glass-strewn ground.

A cop in a tan shirt, shorts and bandana then rushes out, baton in hand, as the kid jumps up and runs. A third suspected looter was also able to get away.

The heavily-fortified Sephora — which had been boarded up since March 17 due to the coronavirus pandemic — appeared to have been emptied of Dior products, with lipsticks seen littered on the floor.

It’s unclear how looters were able to pry the wooden boards off the shop’s windows to get inside.

It was one of several Manhattan stores to be pillaged during the mayhem. The incident at Sephora took place ahead of the 11 p.m. curfew, which ends at 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
