Baker Mayfield’s offseason moves include wedding dance party

Baker Mayfield looks ready for his next touchdown dance.

The third-year Browns quarterback showed off his moves at a cousin’s wedding last month in South Carolina, according to video obtained by TMZ, which featured Mayfield standing at the center of a crowd.

Mayfield, 25, has kept something of a low-profile this offseason, popping up on Instagram in May for a “lake life” adventure with wife Emily Wilkinson. The couple, who will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary this summer, also enjoyed a trip to Mexico prior to the coronavirus lockdown.

Following a disappointing sophomore season in Cleveland, Mayfield said on a recent media call he’s getting to work without the excess commentary.

“Right now, it’s moving in silence, which is fine with me,” Mayfield said, per ESPN. “That’s how I used to do it before getting on a bigger stage. Get back to the fundamentals to where I can accomplish the goals when the season comes around.”

Mayfield’s season with the Browns was also marred with personal turmoil, publicly beefing with Rex Ryan and 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, among others. The former first-round pick also acknowledged success can start with him.

“Good things will happen for our team and the guys around me, and that’s the most important part. If I play better, our team is going to do better,” Mayfield said.

In February, it was reported Mayfield was already taking initial steps to improve his form, slimming down after putting on “some weight last year to bulk up,” according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
