Carson Wentz and wife welcome new Eagles fan, baby girl Hadley

The Eagles may have put Carson Wentz on the clock, but the quarterback did get a promotion on Monday.

Taking to Instagram, 27-year-old Wentz announced he is a new dad to daughter Hadley Jayne, revealing wife Madison welcomed the couple’s first child earlier this week.

“Late last night my beautiful wife and I were blessed to welcome our sweet little girl into the World! Hadley Jayne Wentz is a true blessing from the Lord and we are so pumped to be her parents,” Wentz posted.

Wentz also shared a few snaps of the couple’s newest addition, noting Hadley weighed in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and is 20 inches long.

“I love these two with everything I have! God is soooo good!” the quarterback exclaimed.

Carson and Madison announced they were expecting last fall. The couple tied the knot in 2018.

In addition to daughter Hadley, Wentz will also be welcoming a new arrival to the quarterbacks room this year, Oklahoma product Jalen Hurts. The Eagles selected 21-year-old Hurts in the second round of last week’s NFL Draft.

GM Howie Roseman later addressed the curious move, stating he wants Philadelphia to be “a quarterback factory.”

“We’ve shown how we feel about Carson by our actions — by the amount of picks we’ve put into [helping] him and by the contract extension,” Roseman said. “We believe this is the guy to lead us to our next Super Bowl championship, but for better or worse we are quarterback developers. We want to be a quarterback factory.”

Wentz remains under contract with the Eagles through 2024.
