Authorities bust 8 suspects accused of peddling guns, drugs in Queens

Eight suspects accused of peddling guns and drugs in Queens have been arrested as part of two long-term investigations, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

The suspects ran with two different crews in Jamaica that used the same drug supplier to allegedly push fentanyl, heroin and cocaine into the community, officials said.

Among the suspects was also an alleged gun runner, Charles Gillepsie, 19, who sold firearms every week for anywhere from $500 to $1,100 each, authorities said.

The first probe into the crews began in Nov. 2018, with the other coming a year later. They were jointly conducted by the NYPD and Queens District Attorney’s Office.

Other suspects include: Javial Davis, 28, Krya Tyrell, 17, Samuel Wilson, 40, Carlton Powell, 22, Benjamin Williams, 38, Chad Taylor, 40, and Steven Campbell, 37, according to the DA’s office.

They were arraigned Thursday on various charges including conspiracy, criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a fireman and other crimes.
