Shaq’s quarantine life is out of control

Social distancing isn’t keeping Shaq down.

Like many of us, Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal is thinking of new ways to combat the doldrums of quarantine life in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

O’Neal posted a video to Instagram on Monday night that shows him DJing a dance party in his kitchen with sons, Shareef and Shaqir, stepson Myles O’Neal, and nephew Gregory Jordan.

The video starts with Shaq toggling controls on the deck to a remix of the song “Down” by Marian Hill and the boys dancing. Once the beat drops, all five go wild with Shareef, who recently transferred from UCLA basketball to his father’s alma mater LSU, and Gregory removing their shirts and taking turns jumping and dancing atop the counter. Shaq, who is 7-foot-1 and north of 300 lbs, stayed on the ground.

The post is captioned, “Don’t be down. Be safe love yall Oneal boys kitchen concert”

On Sunday, the 48-year-old retired hoopster posted a public service announcement about COVID-19 testing in the Los Angeles area.

Shaq has two sons, Shareef and Shaqir, and two daughters, Amirah and Me’arah, with ex-wife Shaunie Nelson. Myles is Nelson’s son from a previous relationship. He also has one daughter, Taahirah, with ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh.
