A transgender woman was fatally stabbed in the neck outside a Harlem park early Saturday during a squabble over a wig she allegedly stole, a pal told The Post.

The woman, 33, was sitting on a park bench on the corner of East 128th Street and 3rd Avenue near Harlem River Park at about 1:30 a.m. when an unidentified assailant approached her, officials said.

The pair began arguing, and the suspect knifed her in the neck — then hopped on a red motorized scooter and took off.

Medics rushed the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem, where she was later pronounced dead.

Witness Lavonia Brooks, a friend of the victim, told The Post the pair had been arguing about a wig.

“It was a blonde wig. [The victim] just walked past her and took the wig off her head,” Brooks told The Post. “That prompted the other person to attack her.”

“Someone said ‘Oh s–t! She cut her throat,'” she recalled.

Brooks said the area — where a trail of blood remained later in the day — is a popular hangout for sex workers.

“There was a dude riding one a red scooter trying to pick up one of the girls. [The attacker] must have hopped on the back of a date’s motorcycle.”

Brooks added that the victim had “a beautiful heart.”

“She’s very giving. She would give you the shoes off her feet in the wintertime if she really had to,” Brooks added.

“She should have never snatched that child’s wig.”

The woman’s identity was being withheld until family could be notified, police said.

Mayor Bill de Blasio called the attack “horrifying” Saturday.

“My heart breaks for this woman and for her family. We WILL find the person responsible for this heinous crime and bring them to justice. New York City stands with our trans community, now and always,” he wrote on Twitter.

No arrests have been made.
