March Madness 2020 could change Final Four venue amid coronavirus crisis

The drastic changes to March Madness 2020 may have just begun.

The AP reports that NCAA president Mark Emmert is considering switching the site of the men’s Final Four and regional sites, which includes Madison Square Garden, to smaller venues within the same cities.

Currently, the Final Four is scheduled to be played at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is the home of the NFL’s Falcons. The other regional sites are Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Houston.

The NCAA announced earlier on Wednesday that fans would be kept out of the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments. The men’s tournament starts on Tuesday with the First Four in Dayton. The first-round sites for the Big Dance — Albany, St. Louis, Spokane, Tampa, Cleveland, Greensboro, Omaha and Sacramento — are expected to remain the same.
