Damon Harrison wants to keep playing after Lions exit

Damon “Snacks” Harrison needs a new team with which to continue his career.

The former Jets and Giants defensive tackle will be released by the Lions, according to reports. Harrison considered retirement a possibility after Detroit finished a disappointing 3-12-1 and it looked like his tenure there was coming to end, but NFL Network reported he wants to return in 2020.

Harrison, 31, just completed his first full season with the Lions after being traded there by the Giants during the 2018 campaign. The superb run-stopper also played with the Jets from 2012-15.

Back in December, Harrison questioned whether he would play again, telling reporters “everything is on the table” and that his “body is just not there” despite mentally wanting to continue.
