Rolling Stones announce new 2020 stops on No Filter tour

The Rolling Stones apparently will never stop, never stop, never stop, never stop.

The septuagenarian rockers have shored up the next leg of their ongoing No Filter tour — which was set to hit North America early last year but was plagued by postponements — with a 15-arena lineup kicking off May 8 in San Diego and concluding July 9 in Atlanta. A fan presale starts Wednesday, Feb. 12, with general tickets going on sale on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14.

“It’s always a pleasure to return to North America,” Mick Jagger, 76, told Rolling Stone magazine in a statement, “and play for some of biggest and best crowds in the world!”

“We had the best time on the road last summer,” added guitarist and singer Keith Richards, 76. “And we are ready to do it again!”

The “Brown Sugar” and “Start Me Up” hitmakers’ new itinerary doesn’t include any stops in or near New York City. However, Mick and company did two shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, last August; those performances had been rescheduled after Jagger underwent heart valve replacement surgery in April 2019.

Last May, the Stones’ frontman proved that no one moves like Jagger when he shared a post-surgery Instagram video in which he busted some hip-shaking, arm-flailing moves like only he can.

Jagger and Richards will be joined on tour by longtime bandmates guitarist/bassist Ronnie Wood, 72, and drummer Charlie Watts, 78.
