Trinitarios gang members busted in connection to 2013 murders

Seven reputedly high-ranking members of the bloodthirsty Trinitarios street gang were busted Tuesday on charges of racketeering and murder.

The charges stem in part from the 2013 Bronx slayings of Michael Beltre and Rafael Alam, according to court papers.

Alleged gang leader Ediberto “Flaco Veneo” Santana is accused of taking part in both murders, and was ordered held without bail Tuesday following an appearance in Manhattan federal court.

Santana and his charged cohorts are accused of belonging to the gang’s “Sunset” chapter, a nation-wide subset that operates out of Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx.

The take-down was a coordinated effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security, New York State Police and NYPD, authorities said.
