Bonnaroo 2020 lineup announced: Lizzo, Tool and Miley Cyrus to perform

There’s barely a jam band in sight on the just-released lineup for the once folk-and rock-focused Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

Instead, the list of 2020 acts announced Tuesday is packed with pop and hip-hop performances ranging from Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey and Vampire Weekend to Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion and Run The Jewels.

Bonnaroo 2020 will take place in Manchester, TN from June 11-14. Tickets go on sale Thursday at noon, with four-day passes starting at $279.

Thursday’s opening day festivities will feature a “Grand Ole Opry” theme, with scores of indie acts. Next up: Tool will headline Friday’s installment of the four-day festival, while Lizzo toplines Saturday and psychedelic Australian band Tame Impala rocks the main stage Sunday. Virtually the only jam band on the bill, Oysterhead, will also perform Saturday.

Lizzo, by the way, is the first female headliner in the history of the 20-year-old festival, Billboard reports.

The fest, started in 2002 by Superfly and AC Entertainment, has seen a resurgence in ticket sales since hitting an all-time-low in 2016, a year after it was bought by current owners Live Nation, according to the Tennessean.

Last year’s lineup was lead by Phish, Post Malone and Cardi B — who famously split her skintight jumpsuit on stage. Also in 2019, a 27-year-old male festival goer became unresponsive and died at the event.
