A woman in a wheelchair was robbed on New Year’s Eve by a heartless thief who snatched her purse right from her chair while she was inside a dressing room at a Queens clothing store, police said Friday.
The 32-year-old female victim, who uses a wheelchair to get around, was shopping at a Burlington Coat Factory in Jamaica around 2 p.m. when she went into a fitting room and left her chair outside, cops said.
Video shows a fellow shopper slinking over to the wheelchair and looking from side to side before she slyly lifted the handbag off the chair and disappeared into the racks.
Police said the purse contained the victim’s cell phone, credit cards and keys.
