Liv Morgan’s WWE wedding lesbian twist doesn’t sit well with anyone

Liv Morgan shocked the wrestling world by making her WWE return in a bizarre lesbian storyline — a scene that did not appear to sit well with the company’s real-life lesbian.

During the final “Monday Night Raw” of the decade, the former Riott Squad member interrupted Lana’s wedding to Bobby Lashley by confessing that she was in love with the Ravishing Russian.

However, the manner of Morgan’s return didn’t go down too well with fans who were annoyed that she was handed the LGBTQ angle.

This is considering the fact that the WWE has an openly gay wrestler on its roster in Sonya Deville, who has even pitched doing a similar storyline in the past.

She revealed on “Total Divas” that she had met with producers to discuss participating in the first-ever LGBTQ storyline in the company with tag-team partner Mandy Rose.

First, Deville tweeted: “Welp…my mind is blown.”

She then replied to Rose’s tweet claiming that she had “no words” by writing: “I know my friend I know.”

Morgan — real name Gionna Jene Daddio — has been used sparingly on WWE TV since first proposing a gimmick change following a loss to Charlotte Flair this summer.

In recent weeks, the 25-year-old began reappearing in several vignettes where she proclaimed that one person in particular changed her forever.

Fans have discovered that the mystery figure was Lana, after Morgan crashed the wedding by claiming that the love of her life was in the ring.

Those inside the arena assumed the former NXT star was referring to Lashley, who quickly claimed that the two have never had a romantic relationship.

Yet Morgan offered up the twist of the year by revealing that she was talking about Lana, who reacted by slapping her across the face.

The bizarre segment ended with the Ravishing Russian’s real-life husband, Rusev, bursting out of the wedding cake to attack Lashley.
