Justin Bieber documentary series ‘Seasons’ to premiere on YouTube

The Biebs is back.

Bad boy-turned-Bible-toting superstar Justin Bieber is teasing his long-awaited musical comeback with a 10-part YouTube docuseries called “Justin Bieber: Seasons,” set to premiere Jan. 27, with new music to score the episodes.

The trailer, which was released today, promises a look into the singer’s 2017 breakdown that caused him to cancel the remainder of his “Purpose” world tour as well as the inside scoop on his marriage to supermodel Hailey Baldwin and long hours spent in the studio recording his first album in four years.

“As humans we go through so many ups and downs. So many good seasons, bad seasons,” says Bieber, 25, in the series trailer, which features a snippet of his new song, “Yummy,” due out Jan. 3.

“No one’s ever grown up in the history of humanity like Justin Bieber,” adds Scooter Braun, the pop kingmaker and Taylor Swift nemesis who discovered the Canadian preteen in 2007 on YouTube.

“When I was getting started, YouTube provided me a platform and a community where I could share music, experiences and moments with my fans,” Bieber said in a statement, reports CNN. “It feels great to partner with YouTube for this original documentary series. I want my fans to be part of this journey.”

While this is the singer’s first-ever docuseries, this isn’t the first time Bieber has regaled fans with behind-the-scenes coverage. His 2011 rock-umentary “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” documented the then-16-year-old’s preparation for a Madison Square Garden show.

“There’s a lot of pressure that I think people don’t see,” says new wife Baldwin in the teaser, which shows a moody Justin looking pensive in a canyon, a parking lot and on stage during a famous bout of tears at an album-release show. Footage of the A-list couple’s second wedding in South Carolina in September can also be seen in the trailer for the series, which is produced by Bieber Time Films, SB Projects and OBB Pictures.

Though he’s been featured on hit songs like Major Lazer’s “Cold Water,” Ed Sheeran’s “I Don’t Care” and a remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” the tatted-up singer, who also owns streetwear label Drew House, hasn’t released an album of his own since 2015’s “Purpose.” Bieber’s comeback comes with 2020 tour dates, which he announced on Christmas Eve.

New episodes of “Seasons” will be released every Monday and Tuesday at noon starting Jan. 27 on YouTube for free with ads. “Beliebers” can catch a sneak peek of the series Tuesday night after “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2020” on ABC after the ball drops, according to CNN, with a cameo by the Biebs himself.
